4. Blind Embossing




Embossing is when a design is carved, molded, or stamped onto/into a surface so that it stands out and creates texture. This sample is “debossed,” which means the design has been pushed in rather than raised out of the paper. The sample is “blind” embossing because the letters are only visible because of their texture and are not printed with ink.
