Most packaging is created from a net. These nets are cut out like a die cut. The outline of the net is called the die line. This example shows a complicated die line because of the foldout the box has once it has been assembled.

25. Item that uses halftone dots in a creative way





This example shows how halftone dots can be used to create images. Although most photo reproduction is done in halftone dots, this image is creative because it is more abstract with the dots.

Resolution is an important thing when printing large images and materials. When a small image is scaled up, it can become pixelated or blurry.
